Gabriel Monteiro de Castro é médico graduado pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro e Dermatologista pela Sociedade Brasileira de Dermatologia. Iniciou sua carreira nos tempos de pós-graduação enquanto trabalhava em um hospital oncológico como clínico geral, posição que lhe deu bastante experiência em doenças crônicas e sua correlação com a dermatologia, acreditando que o dermatologista deve estar sempre atualizado como um todo, saindo do lugar comum do botox e preenchimento e sabendo tratar doenças em geral.
Atualmente com o cenário do coronavírus, o dermatologista pode identificar alterações na pele compatíveis com uma infecção viral (como corona, dengue, chikungunya) e encaminhar para a realização de exames para confirmar o caso junto a outra equipe de especialistas.
Vivendo em uma época que com os avanços nessa área se pode adiar uma cirurgia plástica por vários anos. “As técnicas atuais de estímulo de colágeno, seja por injeções por baixo da pele ou por máquinas de laser, trazem um excelente resultado e são procedimentos que não afastam o paciente de sua rotina”, comenta Gabriel sobre os procedimentos, todos realizados em consultório.
Duas das máquinas mais em alta no momento são o Fotona 4D, que promove rejuvenescimento, melhora a textura e qualidade da pele, flacidez e melhora do contorno facial, queridinho de celebridades como Kim Kardashian. Outro procedimento em alta é o ultra former, um ultrassom microfocado que vai até a camada muscular fazer com que a pele do rosto tenha um efeito lifting e, com sessões anuais, posterga-se muito a necessidade de cirurgia plástica.
Não podemos esquecer que o dermatologista também é o responsável pelos cuidados com os cabelos. Uma da principais doenças que podemos evitar é a alopécia androgenética (calvície masculina e feminina).
Hoje, por meio de técnicas como o MMP, que injeta medicamentos direto no couro cabeludo, é possível trazer de volta boa parte dos cabelos, se o caso não for muito avançado.”Para casos mais avançados existe o transplante capilar com técnicas cada vez mais modernas e naturais”, fala o dermatologista.
