Domingos Antunes entrevista o grande maquiador Paulo Porto
Foi no começo dos anos 90 que tudo começou. Paulo Porto foi convidado para ser o assistente de Duda Molinos, que na época já era um consagrado maquiador. E já começou conhecendo os grandes nomes do mercado e participando de editoriais, campanhas e catálogos de grande influência no mundo da moda.
O tempo como assistente durou pouco, logo surgiram os primeiros trabalhos solo, com jovens talentos como ele e, que ao longo do tempo, se tornariam clientes, fotógrafos, modelos, produtores e estilistas. O primeiro editorial foi para revista Capricho, que assim como ele, era leve, despretensiosa e jovem. Paulo virou então “o queridinho” de Amália Spinardi, editora da revista. Foram muitos editoriais, capas e viagens. Logo, ele estava trabalhando com revistas conceituadas como Moda Brasil, sua primeira capa com Ana Paula Arósio, Claudia, Claudia Moda, Nova, entre outras.
Em 1995, Paulo Porto passou uma temporada em Nova York com intuito de aprimorar seu trabalho e aumentar a bagagem profissional.
Paulo revela que foi a melhor experiência que poderia ter feito: “conheci pessoas incríveis ligadas à moda no mercado de Nova York e trabalhei fazendo ensaios, desfiles e assistência para François Nars, maquiador de sucesso conhecido por sua linha de maquiagem.
Um ano se passou em Nova York e era hora de voltar para o mercado da moda em São Paulo! E foi com essa bagagem e experiência vivida lá que as portas do mercado brasileiro se abriram para ele com fotógrafos renomados como: JR Duran, Miro,Luis Crispino, Gui Paganini,Jairo Goldflus, Morgade entre outros, e também, para grandes revistas, capas e editoriais de moda e beleza: VOGUE, ELLE, MARIE CLAIRE, NOVA, DASLU.
O mercado na moda fervia e lá estava ele! Desfiles para o Morumbi Fashion e também o SPFW, grifes famosas como: ZOOMP, ZAPPING, REINALDO FRAGA, GLORIA COELHO, entre outras tantas.
E com isso vieram campanhas publicitárias de grandes marcas, filmes publicitários para C&A com a então garota propaganda, Gisele Bündchen.Chegou então a hora das grandes atrizes e apresentadoras sentarem em sua cadeira e serem maquiadas e penteadas por ele, entre elas, Ana Hickmann, Paola Oliveira, Claudia Leitte, Alinne Moraes, a atriz portuguesa Maria João e a já atriz e ex-modelo Ana Paula Arósio para capa da revista Nova, “uma das poucas em que o cabelo não está ondulado”, revela o maquiador.
Viagens nacionais e internacionais, shootings, glamour, fama e sucesso foi o que a moda trouxe para este grande artista da make. “Conheci pessoas e lugares que jamais imaginei e só posso agradecer, mas o momento era de mudanças e, em 2004, fui convidado para trabalhar no salão da antiga loja de luxo DASLU, uma honra e lá fui eu ter uma nova experiência profissional no UP HAIR”, conta Paulo Porto sobre essa nova etapa em sua vida. “Dividi minha vida profissional entre o salão e a moda por um bom tempo”, conta.
Após um período no UP, foi para o MGTE e logo depois para uma temporada no Marcos Proença. Esse tempo passado nesse salões o levou a descobrir um novo mercado com o qual atua há 7 anos, o mercado de noivas. “Descobri que participar desse dia tão importante para os noivos me faz bem. Hoje trabalho em um salão especializado em noivas, o JJ Cabeleireiros.”, confessa.
Sua jornada e imersão nesse mundo vibrante, alegre e concorridíssimo, onde apenas os que realmente têm talento e criatividade conseguem se sustentar, o trouxe até aqui. Mesmo assim, Paulo é modesto e mesmo com toda a sua experiência e profissionalismo afirma que está sempre evoluindo: “Tenho muito o que aprender ainda e aprendo um pouco a cada dia e me sinto feliz por estar onde estou”, confessa o grande profissional.
