buscando coisas novas como roteiro, atores e lugares bacanas para produzir.
Empresária do seu namorado Caetano Veloso, continuam se amando, “firme e forte”, comenta.
Adora buscar inspirações na janela do seu belo apartamento de frente para o mar. Rimos bastante quando ela me contou que a confundem de rosto com uma socialite falida, ela nunca a viu, mas contaram para ela que a tal pessoa faliu e casou com outro falido. Paulinha brinca: “não sou falida e nem socialite, que afinal é uma palavra cafona que não existe mais e ainda falida? Socorro!”

Não é de hoje que o nome de Paula Lavigne e o termo “censura prévia” convivem numa mesma frase. Em 2006, ela, na condição de empresária de Caetano Veloso, entrou na Justiça para impedir que a revista “Sexy”, de março daquele ano, chegasse às bancas, uma vez que, a publicação trazia um ensaio com a modelo Denise Dias e com a seguinte chamada de capa: “Beleza pura! Ensaio exclusivo com a tigresa que tirou Caetano do sério”. A moça havia sido fotografada numa festa ao lado do compositor, solteiro na época — ele e Paula estavam separados há quase dois anos. Uma juíza acatou a liminar, proibindo a venda. A proibição foi logo derrubada, considerada inconstitucional. “É censura prévia. Sem saber o que seria publicado a juíza deu uma decisão a favor de Caetano”, disse na época o advogado da “Sexy”.
Na pandemia, cuidou de muitas coisas que estavam na gaveta, inclusive do seu amado Caetano e promete maravilhas para 2021. Sempre perguntam se não voltará fazer novelas, ela ainda diz que está distante o retorno, mas não descarta a idéia.
Não perde a esperança de um Brasil melhor, onde a arte seja olhada com mais requinte, sabedoria e carinho pelo os futuros governantes do país. Adora receber amigos, fazer festas, ir a praia, vestir roupas sofisticadas quando lhe dá vontade. Não curte cobrança de aparências e diz que ama o Rio, e falando de beleza, considera Ipanema um dos bairros mais elegantes .
Casada com o músico e compositor brasileiro Caetano Veloso de 1986 a 2004, com quem teve dois filhos. Desde 2016 estão novamente juntos, mas não casados.
