Olímpia se torna a 2ª maior cidade paulista em leitos
Não é de hoje que Olímpia, localizada no interior paulista, atrai a atenção de investidores e grandes redes hoteleiras. E esse interesse levou a estância turística ao patamar de segundo maior destino do estado em número de leitos, ultrapassando Aparecida e atrás apenas da capital.
Atualmente, a cidade conta com 607 meios de hospedagens (hotéis, resorts e pousadas) e 26.599 leitos. Em contrapartida, Aparecida oferece 20.649 leitos. O ranking tem como base o levantamento mais recente promovido pela Secretaria Municipal de Turismo.
Com 54 mil habitantes e a 448 quilômetros de São Paulo, Olímpia viu sua oferta crescer nos últimos anos pela crescente demanda gerada por parques aquáticos, um dos principais atrativos do destino.
A inauguração de novos atrativos turísticos, como o Museu de Cera (do mesmo Grupo Dreams que administra o Vale dos Dinossauros) e as discussões em torno da criação do Distrito Turístico de Olímpia e da incorporação do município à Região Metropolitana de São José do Rio Preto também devem contribuir para consolidar a cidade como o principal destino do interior de São Paulo no cenário pós-pandemia.
Olímpia: evolução da oferta
A estância turística é a casa do Wyndham Olímpia, o maior hotel do país em número de quartos, totalizando 940 apartamentos. Outros dois maiores empreendimentos de multipropriedade do Brasil também estão no destino: o Enjoy Olímpia Park Resort (912 apartamentos) e o Solar das Águas Park Resort, com previsão de abertura no segundo semestre e oferta de mais de 1 mil UHs.
Outros projetos devem ser inaugurados ainda este ano, como o Hot Beach Suites, do Grupo Ferrasa. Recentemente, a Accor anunciou a incorporação do antigo Nobile Thermas de Olímpia por meio de contrato de franquia, que terá operação da Falcon Hotéis.
