Ana Jardim Apresenta: Mês dos Pais em Praia de Minas Gerais

Pai de Ana Jardim (in memoriam) de pé com sua mãe, seus sete filhos e babá

Olá! Chegamos ao mês dos pais.

Que tal acrescentarmos ao nosso roteiro de viagem uma ida à cidade de Pirapora, onde tudo é belo!

Banhada pelo majestoso Rio São Francisco, é cheia de praias, assim como várias outras atrações. O povo, super hospitaleiro, está sempre disposto a compartilhar o que tem de melhor na cidade. Este pedaço de paraíso está localizado ao norte de Minas, aproximadamente a 340 quilômetros da capital Belo Horizonte. 

Desde criança, tenho uma relação muito afetuosa com o lugar, onde meu saudoso pai frequentava com bastante assiduidade. 

Normalmente, muito ocupado, era em seu barco sobre o Rio São Francisco que ele relaxava, pescando juntamente com seus amigos de uma vida. Quanta alegria sentíamos quando ele voltava para casa, trazendo grande quantidade de peixes. Ele chegou a nos levar algumas vezes para a pescaria. Como era delicioso o sentimento de paz e harmonia que sentíamos à beira do rio.

Rio São Francisco por Renato César

Mas, como nem só de peixe vive o homem, vou falar de outras atrações de Pirapora.

Logo no centro da cidade, o rio nos recebe margeado por uma extensa praia, que vira palco para qualquer evento que exija bastante espaço, como por exemplo, as animadíssimas festas de carnaval.

Vale conhecer o Barco a vapor Benjamim Guimarães, construído nos Estados Unidos em 1913 e tombado pelo IEPHA em (1985). Por muitos anos a embarcação foi utilizada para transportar passageiros e mercadorias de Pirapora a Juazeiro (BA). Em muitos passeios, havia a participação da orquestra de Pirapora. Atualmente, a embarcação está parada para restauração, o que não impede que seja vista à beira do rio.

Barco Benjamim Guimarães

Desta mesma praia central, avistamos a Ponte Marechal Hermes, que liga Pirapora à cidade vizinha Buritizeiro. Esta ponte ferroviária metálica também é tombada pelo IEPHA. Inaugurada em 1922, tem 694 metros de extensão e 8,40 metros de largura.

Sim. 

A pacata cidade é um excelente lugar para quem gosta de sossego e belas paisagens.
