Milton Rosendo nasceu em Maceió, em 1974. É Mestre em Literatura Brasileira pela Universidade Federal de Alagoas (2004). É Doutor em Estudos Literários pela Universidade Federal de Alagoas (2011), atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: literatura brasileira, poesia, intertextualidade, metalinguagem, representação e semiótica.

no veludo da língua versa

uma manhã nascendo,
palmo a palmo,

em arribação,
o pássaro a mais
e mais se entranhar em teus pelos,
tua estranha música.
O flutuante de nós,
borrada caligrafia de sombras,
contra a nênia dos grilos,
o placebo dos dias, e dentro,
bem no fundo,
do azul que esgana as substâncias mais tenras.
1 – Como foi que a poesia passou a fazer parte da sua vida?
Certa vez, em minha adolescência, ao entrar em uma sala de aula, eu me deparei com um soneto do Gregório de Matos, que estava escrito no quadro. Fiquei fascinado e disse para mim mesmo: quero também escrever coisas assim!
De lá pra cá, não parei mais de ler e escrever poemas e quando não os estou escrevendo, chego a sentir certo vazio. A poesia é a minha obsessão.
2 – O que te inspira a escrever? Quais temas ou sentimentos gosta de abordar em seus poemas?
Geralmente, meus poemas são extraídos de diálogos que estabeleço com situações cotidianas ou com leituras de diferentes autores. Os temas variam muito, vão desde os dramas das relações humanas (a paixão, a falha na comunicação humana, o abandono, a culpa, etc.) até o devaneio, a loucura e a desautomatização de nossa percepção do real.
3 – Você já possui 3 livros lançados: Os Moinhos, 2009; Caos-Totem, 2016 e Azul como um Rottweiler, 2021. Como foi escrever cada um deles? Quais diferenças você percebeu na sua escrita ao longo do tempo?
Os Moinhos, meu primeiro livro, foi escrito ao longo de mais de uma década. Desde essa época, já havia em meu trabalho o aspecto de uma escrita-leitura, de uma escritura que está conversando com outras escrituras. O Caos-totem nasceu em meio à produção de minha tese de doutorado sobre Invenção de Orfeu. De repente, resolvi fazer um longo poema, dividido em dez cantos, de sopro épico, mas esculpido como uma espécie de anti-narrativa lisérgica, surreal e fragmentária. Já o Azul como um rottweiler é um experimento antropofágico, resultante do meu flerte com as vanguardas. Foi um livro que surgiu durante um momento atribulado, em que eu estava com depressão. Acho que o meu processo de escrever foi aumentando a dosagem das suas principais características: a fragmentação, a bricolagem, a violação do uso convencional da linguagem e o caráter onírico das imagens.
4 – Você é Mestre em Literatura Brasileira e Doutor em Estudos Literários pela Universidade Federal de Alagoas. O que o levou a seguir essa área? E como é trabalhar com a Literatura?
Tem coisa melhor do que ganhar a vida falando de algo que você ama? A literatura está em tudo que faço ou desejo. É o que me move, o que faz a vida ter sentido, mesmo quando a vida insiste em não fazer sentido nenhum.
5 – Escrever poesia modificou de alguma forma o seu olhar sobre o mundo, a vida e as coisas? Como?
Certamente. Sem a poesia, eu teria enlouquecido, teria me jogado nos braços da morte. A poesia existe para humanizar o homem. A poesia me educou para as delicadezas, para o espanto, para o descompasso com a ordem vigente do mundo. Ler torna o homem mais real.

Os olhos o sabem: a palavra – feito roda –
é sobre si mesma que rola;
como rotação de horas,
como onda a pensar outra onda.
Ausência assim como estrela
a brilhar depois de morta.
Acha a comunicar seu cautério:
esta palavra que me falta.
A palavra sempre nos salta.
Como um tapete de gramíneas, como um corte de faca:
o que, por delicadeza, destruo;
o que, por perfeição, me mata.
6 – Alagoas é uma terra riquíssima em cultura, história e belezas naturais. A cultura Nordestina te inspira de alguma forma? Como?
Embora eu não tenha poemas que retratem muito as coisas do Nordeste, acredito, sim, que o Nordeste está por trás do que escrevo. Quando escrevo uma frase na ordem invertida, está lá um eco de Gregório de Matos; quando delineio imagens oníricas, está lá a sombra das imagens de Jorge de Lima; quando procuro escrever de maneira enxuta, ressoa em mim as lições de João Cabral; Quando num verso, exalo destruição e morte, há um Augusto dos Anjos repercutindo naquilo que escrevi.
7 – Em 2019, você excursionou pelo Brasil, através do programa Arte da Palavra, do Sesc. Conte-nos como foi essa experiência. E qual o objetivo do programa?
Foi uma experiência incrível! Compartilhei com o meu parceiro de viagens, o escritor catarinense Marcelo Labes, momentos e encontros maravilhosos. Para mim, foi uma grande oportunidade de apresentar a minha poesia a públicos diferentes. Sou imensamente grato ao Sesc. O programa Arte da Palavra é um importante fomento à produção literária nacional, porque une os diversos “Brasis”, permitindo que um autor de uma determinada localidade possa divulgar seu trabalho em diferentes regiões do país, aproximando-o dos leitores e incentivando a discussão sobre a criação verbal.
8 – Quais autores você gosta de ler? Algum deles já influenciou na sua escrita?
Amo Rimbaud, Yi Sang, Federico García Lorca, Fernando Pessoa, João Cabral, Ungaretti, Paul Celan, Sylvia Plath e Georg Trakl. De todos estes, o que mais me influenciou foi Arthur Rimbaud, sobretudo o das Iluminações.
9 – Quais são seus planos para o próximo ano? E pretende lançar um novo livro?
Tenho muitos inéditos na gaveta. Meu plano é publicá-los.
